Day 01: Welcome to Delhi
Arrive Delhi in the late night. Our Escort will accompany you to your hotel in the heart of Delhi.
Day 02: Explore Old Delhi/New Delhi
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes Meet your group over a late breakfast, then enjoy a walking tour of Old Delhi, featuring the Raj Ghat, where Gandhi was cremated. Next a Cycle Rickshaw carries you through the crowded Chandni Chowk bazaar to Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. In the afternoon, we drive through New Delhi to visit the India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, towering Qutab Minar, and the old residence of the British Viceroys. Evening: Meditation Classes.
Day 03: Overland to Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes After breakfast, leave for Sariska by surface. Reach Sariska and transfer to Sariska Palace. The Royal Hunting Lodge or palace de nature of late Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar. In the Evening, Wild Life Safari at Sariska National Park. Whole Evening will be of game viewing. Sightings of the Tiger are rare but, you may see them sleeping in the tall grass. You often spot Nilgai, Cheetal, Deer, Sambhar, Antelopes, Chinkara, Langoor Monkeys & vivid bird life. Day 04: Sariska/Jaipur
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes After breakfast, leave for Jaipur by surface. Reach Jaipur and transfer to hotel. After lunch, explore Jaipur City (Including Jantar Mantar, City Museum, City Palace, Hawa Mahal), the picturesque capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is color washed pink - the color associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. Built in 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur displays a remarkable harmony and architectural splendor. The ancient heart of the Pink City still beats in its fairy-tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and broad avenues that dot the entire city. The only planned city of its time; a formidable wall encircles Jaipur. Beautiful laid out gardens and parks attractive monuments and marvelous heritage hotels. Evening: Meditation Classes.
Day 05: Explore Jaipur City
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes After breakfast, You’ll approach to Amber Fort, as Maharaja’s did: on elephant back! Built on four levels, the fort commands the top of a craggy hill surrounded by battlements. Inside you’ll see the 400-year old Temple of Kali and the Hall of Victory with its inlaid alabaster panels. A highlight is the chamber of mirrors, formerly the Maharaja’s bedroom. In the afternoon, a visit to Ayurvedic Hospital & in the evening, Walking tour Old Jaipur (Pink City). Evening: Meditation Classes.
Day 06: Jaipur/Agra
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes After breakfast, a long eastward drive brings you to Fatehpur Sikri. A mysterious 16th century City that ones rivaled London in its population, wealth and grandeur. The site occupies 170 miles and is enclosed by a wall. Built in 1571, it was mysteriously abandoned just 15 years later. Today, it is India’s "Ghost City". Then continue to Agra for your first view of the "Taj Mahal". Reach Agra, check in to hotel. Evening Tea at Taj Khema. Evening: Meditation Classes.
Day 07: Explore Agra
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes Rise at dawn to enjoy the Taj Mahal in the peaceful morning light. You’ll seek out several views of the exterior than visit the inner chambers. This afternoon, contrast the ethereal Taj with the imposing Agra Fort, an immense fortified palace that was a seat of Moghul power. Some of the battlements are more than 60 feet tall. Evening at leisure. Evening: Meditation Classes.
Agra: Is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the "TAJ MAHAL". The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire, of which Agra was the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. While its significance as a political center ended with the transfer of the capital to Delhi in 1634 by Shah Jahan, its architectural wealth has secured its place on the international map. Agra is known for its superb inlay work on the marble and soapstone by craftsmen who are descendants of those who worked under the Mughals. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.
Day 08: Fly to Varanasi/Visit Sarnath
Morning: Yoga & Meditation ClassesAfter breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Varanasi, IC # 7407 at 1135 hours. Arrive Varanasi at 1325 hours. Transfer to the hotel. Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world and the holiest of all Hindu City. Its narrow streets are lined with 100s of temples honoring Hindu deities, and 100s of pilgrims crowd the Ghat stairways leading to the Holy River Ganges. In the evening, you’ll explore nearby Sarnath, where the Buddha preached his first sermon to five disciples at the Deer Park, enshrining the principles of his reaching into laws. The Dhamek Stupa marks the location of a once resplendent monastery. A large complex of ruined monasteries cover the area north of the Stupas. The first monk communities probably settled here in the 3rd century BC. Near the Dhamek Stupa does the Buddhist Mahabodhi Society here build a new monastery in wall paintings by a Japanese artist. Sarnath has an interesting archeological museum, which has preserved the famous Sarnath Pillar whose capital forms India’s national emblem. Visit the Dhamek Stupa and Mulgandkuti Vihar. Day 09: Sunrise on the Holy River Ganges
Morning: Yoga & Meditation Classes At sunrise you’ll board a small boat for a cruise on the Holy River Ganges. You can photograph riverside temples & Ghats in a rich golden light.
